April 2026 Round-Up - Surveys, Valuations and Specialist Advice
April proved to be another busy month for Navah Consulting, with instructions continuing across our core service lines throughout Hertfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire.
We’ve continued to see steady demand for both Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys, with many buyers taking a more cautious approach before committing to purchases. In a market where pricing can vary significantly from street to street, clients are increasingly looking for clear advice on property condition before proceeding.
Alongside this, Red Book valuations remained a consistent part of our workload during April. These ranged from standard market valuations through to more nuanced instructions involving period homes, unique properties and cases where local market evidence required careful interpretation.
One area that has noticeably increased in recent weeks is specialist defect analysis work. During April, we were instructed on a number of cases involving roof defects, water ingress issues and spray foam insulation concerns, areas where buyers, sellers and property owners often need independent advice before making expensive decisions.
We were also pleased to announce that Navah Consulting has been shortlisted for the RICS UK Awards 2026 in the Outstanding Contribution to Surveying (SME) category. We recently shared a separate post on this, but wanted to again thank our clients, professional contacts and wider network for their continued support.
As we move into May, our focus remains the same, providing clear, independent and evidence-based advice without referral fees or unnecessary noise.
