On the ground and in the books
While continuing to deliver RICS Home Survey Level 2s (HomeBuyer Reports), RICS Home Survey Level 3s (Building Surveys), and RICS Red Book Valuations, Jack Cottrell has also been hitting the books.
This month, we’re putting the spotlight on Jack’s progress through the Sava Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation, a rigorous and respected route into the surveying profession. The qualification is recognised at Level 6 (degree-equivalent) and is overseen by ABBE (Awarding Body for the Built Environment), part of Birmingham City University.
Recent modules have seen Jack exploring the ins and outs of contract law, property legislation, and the legal foundations that underpin residential surveying. These are not just box-ticking exercises, this knowledge directly feeds into the detailed, professional advice we give to our clients every day.
The course combines remote study with practical contact days held at Sava’s training centre in Milton Keynes, where students like Jack take part in interactive workshops, real-world case studies, and technical skills training under the guidance of experienced surveyors.
Jack continues to balance studying with delivering high-quality surveys and valuations for Navah Consulting’s clients. His commitment to professional development reflects the wider ethos of our team: combining practical experience with formal training to provide clear, honest, and informed advice, without the jargon.
