A Busy July for Navah Consulting, Supporting Buyers Across the Region.
Highlights - July 2025
July has been a busy and productive month at Navah Consulting, with our team carrying out a wide range of RICS Home Survey Level 2 reports (formerly known as HomeBuyer Reports) across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, and London.
This survey type remains the most popular choice among buyers of conventional homes in reasonable condition. It offers a clear, easy-to-understand overview of a property’s visible condition, flagging any urgent or significant issues that may impact value or require future repair.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve inspected a wide variety of homes in locations including:
Bishop’s Stortford, Borehamwood, Cambridge, Elsenham, Gidea Park, Hitchin, Loughton, Royston, Saffron Walden, Sawbridgeworth, Stansted Mountfitchet, and Walthamstow.
Wherever we’re working, our reports aim to simplify the homebuying process—highlighting essential maintenance, identifying potential issues, and outlining key considerations in a format aligned with RICS standards.
RICS Home Survey Level 2 or Level 3 – Which Survey Do You Need?
If you’re unsure which level of survey is appropriate, here’s a quick breakdown:
RICS Home Survey Level 2 (HomeBuyer Report)
Ideal for standard properties in generally good condition, this report includes a visual inspection and summary of the overall state of the property. It covers common issues such as damp, movement, and visible defects.
RICS Home Survey Level 3 (Building Survey)
Better suited to older, extended, or non-standard buildings, this more detailed report provides a comprehensive analysis of the structure and fabric of the property. It includes commentary on repair options, expected timescales, and potential implications if issues are not addressed.
If you’re not sure which level of report is right for your needs, we’re happy to talk it through and help guide your decision.

With August now underway, we’re looking forward to assisting even more buyers throughout the region. If you’re purchasing a property and need a trusted, RICS-accredited surveyor, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
