Live Project - Contract Administration and Defect Analysis
Highlights - August 2025
Back in March, we shared news that Navah Consulting had been appointed to provide Contract Administration services for a development of three homes just outside of our Bishop’s Stortford base, in Little Hallingbury, Essex.
Although the properties are less than ten years old, they presented significant external defects that required detailed investigation and careful remediation planning.
Since our initial appointment, we have worked closely with the homeowners, their warranty providers, and the appointed loss adjusters to establish a clear and structured pathway forward. This has involved undertaking comprehensive defect analysis, producing detailed technical reports, and coordinating with all parties to agree on a scope of work that would provide a lasting solution.
We are pleased to report that, as of late August, remedial works are now underway on site. The existing external boarding is being carefully removed and replaced, with a new render system to follow. These works represent an important step in addressing the defects, improving durability, and restoring the properties to the standard expected by their owners.
This project demonstrates the value of combining defect analysis services with effective contract administration. By working collaboratively with insurers, loss adjusters, and clients, we ensure that remedial projects are managed transparently, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards. Additional consideration was given to the proximity of the property to overhead power cables, calling on UKPN to provide suitable protection for the duration of the works.
At Navah Consulting, our role is to guide clients from initial inspection and analysis through to the successful completion of remedial works. Whether acting for private homeowners, commercial clients, or in insurance-funded and Section 20 projects, we provide clear, reliable support at every stage.
If you are experiencing similar issues or require professional input on defect analysis and contract administration, we would be happy to discuss how our team can assist.
