Highlights - November 2025
November has been a busy and productive month across the team, with a strong mix of survey work, valuation instructions, project updates and continued relationship-building across our core regions. Here are some of the key highlights.
Continued Growth in RICS Home Survey Level 3s:
We’ve seen a noticeable rise in RICS Home Survey Level 3 instructions this month, particularly for older and more complex properties across Hertfordshire and Essex. Several inspections required detailed defect analysis, including moisture ingress investigations, roofing defects, and chimney assessments.
RICS Valuations (Red Book):
November brought a steady flow of valuations, including probate, Help to Buy, shared ownership and private market valuations.
Project Updates:
Our ongoing contract administration and Schedule of Condition projects progressed well this month. Particular focus has been placed on external repair packages, roof upgrade works, and photographic Schedules for commercial clients.
Team development continued with CPD focused on:
Traditional construction and moisture management
Roof structures and ventilation
Legal and compliance considerations for valuations
Looking Ahead, December will focus on wrapping up end-of-year survey work, progressing ongoing contract admin projects, and planning for a strong start to 2026. We’re also preparing updates to our online resources, including improved guidance for clients on spray-foam insulation, damp investigations, and choosing between Level 2 and Level 3 surveys.
